Evidence Behind the Voice

ECHO believes advocacy is stronger when it is grounded in evidence. Our research activities collect student experiences, examine recurring patterns and translate findings into practical recommendations, following the methodology.

Research Categories

ECHO's research falls into five categories, from the first survey to the follow-up after engagement.

  • Surveys

    Structured student feedback.

  • Audits

Assessment of student-facing systems and experiences.

  • Reports

    Evidence-based findings and recommendations.

  • Advocacy

    Actions arising from documented evidence.

  • Follow-Up

Tracking responses and developments after engagement.

Data Collection & Verification Methodology

Every research output rests on ECHO's real, operational methodology.

  1. Multi-Channel Data Collection

A digital platform on web and mobile devices, QR codes placed around campus for easy anonymous submissions, street and peer-to-peer interviews by trained members, and social media direct messages.

  2. Verification

All submissions are carefully verified by designated members who have signed affidavits of confidentiality to ensure data protection and privacy.

  3. Categorisation Taxonomy

Verified reports are categorised into five thematic areas aligned with ECHO's feedback form structure, which helps identify patterns, emerging issues and priority areas.

  4. Escalation & Feedback Loop

Verified concerns are escalated to relevant stakeholders such as the Student Union and university management for action, with timely updates to students on progress and outcomes.

Published Research

Only published findings appear here: never raw or unverified submissions.

No public report available yet. ECHO's evidence library is being developed. Published research will appear here as it becomes available.
